Schools play a vital role in a child’s life. Teachers have the potential to effectively teach protective behaviors to children.  Teachers and school staff have the dual role of being educators and protectors of children under their tutelage. Teachers are in a unique position to identify and observe such children who need help and protection.  Early detection of child abuse is crucial in breaking the cycle of violence and preventing further physical and emotional damage to the child.

Please write/call us if you wish to attend the program.  Our telephone numbers and email are 2857-4166/2857-4017/2857-4324 (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday).  Email: chennairefdesk@state.gov
