Connecting the Dots –  The Annual Workshop Series to Address Sexual Violence against Children between  February 2 – 6, 2015 at Chennai,  which will be in English. Topics include AN INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHO – SOCIAL INTERVENTIONS  & USING THE TRAUMAGENIC DYNAMIC FRAMEWORK TO ASSESS  PRE- AND ADOLESCENT GIRLS WHO HAVE BEEN  SEXUALLY ABUSED,
PREVENTION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE: THEORY-BASED PRIMARY PREVENTION,  PERSONAL SAFETY EDUCATION – AN INTRODUCTION ( with a focus on children and youth with disabilities)
PREVENTION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE: WORKING WITH OUR BOYS , PREVENTION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE: DEALING WITH SEXUAL MISBEHAVIORS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN ,TALKING TO ADULTS WITH EARLY WARNING SIGNS OF OFFENDING/INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR
Participants will have to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements .Refreshments and relevant learning material  will be provided during the workshop. Registration will be Rs 800/- per day

Alerting Governments and civil society organizations to play a more active role in the promotion of and respect for the rights of the child (article 19 and 34 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child), and contribute to the prevention of child abuse, WWSF (www.woman.ch) launched in 2000 the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse, a Day to be commemorated every 19 November in synergy with the anniversary of the International Day for the rights of the child (20 November) which has as its objective to be a rallying point around the issue of child abuse and the need for urgent effective prevention programs. The World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse is a process for the emergence of a culture of prevention around the issue of violence against girls and boys.
